Maxine Paul (BSW, MSW, RSW) is a Registered Social Worker in the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Social Workers (NLCSW). Her social work education was completed at Memorial University of Newfoundland, with her Masters of Social Work awarded in 1995.
For more than 30 years, Maxine has worked as a social worker with a focus on clinical counselling and therapy. Much of her past work was with Mental Health and Addictions at Eastern Health and in part-time private practice. At present, Maxine works at the School of Social Work at Memorial University as a Instructor, teaching students in the bachelor’s degree program.

Taedy O’Rourke (MSW, RSW) is a trauma and attachment-informed therapist and Registered Social Worker with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Social Workers (NLCSW). He holds a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Memorial University (2017) and a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Toronto (2019) with a focus on mental health and health.
In the past 6 years, Taedy has offered counselling support to diverse populations, including those navigating acute and complex trauma, addictions, and mental health challenges in community-based and correctional settings. His therapeutic approach is informed by Internal Family Systems parts work and uses EMDR to support trauma reprocessing. He believes that if we can address the issue at its core, surface-level symptoms and struggles will begin to ease.
Taedy is dedicated to supporting adults with diverse trauma histories, and uses an integrated approach utilizing a combination of EMDR, narrative therapy, DBT, and IFS-informed parts work.
In his spare time, Taedy enjoys running in local races and hiking the East Coast Trail.

Nancy Galway (RSW, MSW) is a professional counsellor and social worker who has had her own experiences with trauma and anxiety. She began working in social work and support in the 1980s and has worked in the areas of corrections, elder abuse, family services, and counselling clinics and with a mobile crisis team.
Nancy has worked throughout the country, including in northern Canada, including the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Labrador - in both first response and in clinical care settings. She is currently a member of the NLCSW, OCSWSSW, the CASW, and EMDRIA NSCSW. Nancy has participated as a volunteer on many boards and associations connected to her field and has been awarded for her work in the elder abuse field.
